Life is Strange 2

After revealing the premise for Life is Strange 2, which will be focusing on brothers Sean and Daniel Diaz, Dontnod Entertainment has released a near-20 minute long gameplay video. The trailer takes place in Seattle (Life is Strange Season 1 protagonist Max’s hometown before she moved to Arcadia Bay) and follows Sean as he deals with serious teenage troubles, like asking out the girl he likes. Much of the decision-making and interface will be familiar to fans.

On top of offering an introduction to its characters, the gameplay trailer also demonstrates how Sean’s decisions can impact Daniel. During one incident, Sean can choose to either scold his brother, or address the boy by confronting him. As these decisions pile up, they’ll apparently have an effect on how Daniel acts throughout the story.

Life is Strange 2 – Episode 1 will release on September 27th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The entire season will have five episodes in total, and sees the Diaz brothers attempting to escape to Mexico after a “tragic incident”. Along the way, they must get to grips with a strange power, which Dontnod isn’t quite spilling the beans on yet.
