Twin Mirror

Remember when Life is Strange developer Dontnod Entertainment announced it was partnering with Bandai Namco for a new IP? Today, both companies announced exactly what that would be – Twin Mirror, a story-driven investigation game set to release in 2019. It will be coming to the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Check out the first trailer below.

Twin Mirror follows Sam as he deals with the “death of a friend” and a “broken heart”. With only a bloody shirt in hand and no memory of the previous night, Sam must discover the truth. Starting in Basswood, West Virignia, Sam must travel the town and search for clues. Dontnod promises elements of “choice and hypocrisy” en route to the conclusion, whatever that means, but it seems that there is a deadline of sorts.

It’s likely we’ll hear more about Twin Mirror at E3 2018 though the real question is whether it will be episodic like the Life is Strange series. In other news, it will be interesting to see if Dontnod announces Life is Strange 2 at the expo.
