Life is Strange Double Exposure

Deck Nine’s Life is Strange: Double Exposure received a new overview trailer at Gamescom, outlining some new mechanics. After her friend Safi is murdered, Max Caulfield awakens the ability to shift to a parallel timeline where the former lives. Thus begins the journey to find her murderer. Check it out below.

Max can also employ techniques like Dimensional Echoes for spying on characters without their knowledge. There’s also Pulse, indicating points she can use to shift to the other timeline. Her powers allow solving puzzles in unconventional ways, like grabbing a wrench from one timeline to give to Moses in another.

You can also use conversations with a character to enable a heart-to-heart talk with their variant. Variants massively differ from their counterparts, so tread cautiously. Max can get confused between them (with characters reacting accordingly), but there’s an accessibility option to indicate the current timeline.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure launches on October 29th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. The first two chapters go live on October 15th for Ultimate Edition owners. Check out other content included in the latter.
