Along with a new Japanese trailer that featured the return of Final Fantasy XIII-2 antagonist Caius Ballad, Square Enix has released a batch of new screenshots for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. Check them out below.

The screenshots showcase a number of aspects, including the Dress menus. Each Dress within the game allows Lightning to take on new abilities and attacks, with literally dozens of accessories, items and colours to choose from. We also get a few more looks at other returning characters such as Sazh and Vanille. More battle screenshots are also showcased though unless the game really overwhelms us with some impressive mechanics, we’ll remain skeptical.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII releases on February 11th in North America and February 14th in March for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It will mark the end of the Lightning saga (hopefully for good). Will you be picking up the game when it releases? Let us know in the comments below.
