In addition to revealing new trailer for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio confirmed that it would include a “special trial” for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Check out a new cutscene below where Kiryu reunites with Ichiban Kasuga.
Of course, there’s a catch. Studio director Masayoshi Yokoyama says the trial will include “special content like scenes not included in the main game”, which unlock upon completing Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. We’ll wait and see the extent of the trial and whether it provides a look at the mainline sequel’s gameplay.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the eighth mainline title and sees Kasuga ending up in the United States of America. How he got there is unknown, but he will be teaming with Kiryu on a new adventure. It’s out in early 2024 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC, and also launches day one for Game Pass. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
