Game Overview:
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is an action-adventure game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega.
It is a spinoff release in the Yakuza franchise, and is set between the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and Yakuza: Like a Dragon, with series mainstay Kazuma Kiryu returning as protagonist.
Ryu Ga Gotoku's upcoming side story and the acclaimed remake will be playable on Game Pass subscribers on Xbox and PC this year.
"Katatoki" is the theme for the upcoming action-adventure title, with American artist J.I.D. working with Radwimps' Yojiro Noda.
Expect new details on Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
Sega and Atlus have unveiled their full lineup for Tokyo Game Show, which runs from September 21 to 24.
Completing the upcoming spin-off will unlock "special content like scenes not included in the main game," says RGG Studio's Masayoshi Yokoyama.
Players can indulge in classic activities like RC racing and Karaoke with new songs. You can also customize Kiryu with various clothes.
Kiryu works with Akame and her intelligence network to take on "risky requests" in the upcoming side story, launching on November 9th.
The developer recently took to Twitter to remind fans that the upcoming brawler will be "available for download" in November.
Working with the Daidoji Faction, Kiryu encounters a mysterious group that knows his true identity and must root them out.
As per a recent panel at Anime Expo 2023, the three characters (available with pre-orders) are seemingly playable in a separate mode.
The character was voiced in English by Darryl Kurylo in 2020's Yakuza: Like a Dragon, who also played the role in the original Yakuza game.
RGG Studio will offer more details on Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and The Man Who Erased His Name later this year.
Overpower enemies with brute force with the Yakuza fighting style, or subdue and outsmart them with speed and style using the Agent fighting style.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name doesn't seem to have an ESRB rating for a physical release.
Kazuma Kiryu's Agent Style and a new antagonist are showcased, with pre-orders gaining access to the Legendary Fighter Pack.
The game is seemingly due out in November, and will feature three locations, two fighting styles, plenty of side activities, and more.
The Like a Dragon developer's next showcase will air at 8 PM PT/11 PM ET, with more details on the livestream coming soon.
Get ready once again to sink dozens of hours into managing your own cabaret, because the fan-favourite Yakuza minigame is coming back soon.
RGG Studio boss Masayoshi Yokoyama says that the series is no longer focused on the Yakuza, which is why its Western name has changed.
Focusing on Kiryu's story between Yakuza 6 and Like a Dragon 8, the title is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
