Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has updated the official website for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name with new details and images. It outlines some of the characters that Kiryu will meet and more.
After Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, Kiryu works for the Daidoji Faction as Joryu, taking on different assignments. After venturing to Yokohama to track an illegal gold smuggling site, he encounters several Daidoji agents and, after being provoked, lays waste to them. Unfortunately, a strange group appears that recognizes Kiryu, and he must now pursue them following a deal gone wrong.
Other characters include Kosei Shishido of the Watase Family and future Chairman of the Omi Alliance; Yuki Tsuruno, a Watase Family captain and its second-in-command; Akame, a mysterious individual with a network that knows everything about Sotenbori; and Kihei Hanawa who leads the Daidoji Faction. Of course, there’s Homare Nishitani 3, the head of the Kijin Clan. The name will be familiar to Yakuza 0 players, but what is his goal with Kiryu?
There’s also the question of the Daidoji Faction, built on Minoru Daidoji’s wealth with ties to politics. Hopefully, we’ll know more when Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name launches on November 9th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
