Alongside a release date for Little Nightmares 3, Supermassive Games showcased ten minutes of new gameplay from its newly revealed level – the Carnevale. Despite the lights and eerily upbeat music, it’s home to many threats, some of which may inadvertently help if you’re clever enough. Check it out below.

Various hunch-backed figures with impaired vision inhabit the location, voraciously feeding on candy apples. You can use the latter to your advantage and lure them away to progress. However, the “call” function also comes in handy, prompting them to attack objects and open up a path. Alone’s wrench also comes in handy in this regard, as it allows for smashing through dilapidated wooden doors.

Of course, you also need to deal with what seem to be sentient puppets who keep coming even if you knock their heads off. Destroying their heads is the only way to defeat them, but you can also lay low and sneak past if they’re sleeping. The walkthrough ends with Low and Alone hopping on a rollercoaster ride with some conspicuous sacks.

Launching on October 10th, Little Nightmares 3 will be available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Pre-orders are now live and grant access to Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, a remaster of the first game. Head here for more details on the Deluxe Edition.
