Lords of Vermilion IV Announced by Square Enix

Yay?

Posted By | On 26th, Jan. 2017

Square Enix was teasing an “exciting announcement” for January 26th and given how January 31st is the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7’s release, we kind of assumed something related to that. Or how about an announcement regarding the next Tomb Raider?

Instead, the publisher announced that Lords of Vermilion IV is in development with an official website now up. “Lords of what?” you may asked. Lords of Vermilion is actually a collectible card game for arcades which sees players using cards on the arcade’s surface to battle foes. It’s not a mobile title surprisingly though it did have a short-lived MOBA in the form of Lords of Vermilion Arena.

To clarify, this may not be Square Enix’s “exciting announcement” for the day. It’s highly possible that there’s more in store. Then again, if there isn’t, then Lords of Vermilion IV is pretty much it and we’re not sure how we feel about that.

What are your thoughts on Lords of Vermilion IV though? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates.
