Several titles with long development cycles are due in the coming weeks, but Ultizero Games’ Lost Soul Aside has arguably had the longest. After starting development in 2014, it’s now available worldwide. Check out the launch trailer below. A free demo is also live and features two boss battles alongside some weapons and abilities to test out.
Inspired primarily by Final Fantasy, with classics like Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden and Bayonetta influencing the combat, Lost Soul Aside follows Kaser, a resistance member out to save his sister, Louisa. After the Voidrax invade their realm, he enlists the aid of Arena, a powerful entity. Kaser can wield four different weapons – the Sword, Greatsword, Poleblade, and Scythe, each with unique abilities and combos.
Arena also adds his own powers to the mix, whether it’s causing massive spikes to emerge from beneath enemies, emitting a powerful energy blast or a spinning claw attack. Head here for more details.
