Nintendo has announced via Twitter that Luigi’s Mansion 3 will be releasing on October 31st for the Switch. Initially, a retailer leak indicated that it would be out on October 4th. But it seems Nintendo is aiming for that coveted Halloween date to get players in a right spooky mood.

The latest title in the franchise sees Luigi, Mario, Princess Peach and several Toads heading to the Last Resort hotel for a vacation. Once everyone is captured by the ghosts, with King Boo pulling the strings, it’s up to Luigi to save the day. To do so, he’ll be using the new Poltergust G-00 which allows for slamming ghosts among other new abilities.

Players will also have access to Gooigi who can travel through solid metal bars and the like to explore new areas. With the development team promising a longer single-player mode and improved multiplayer, Luigi’s Mansion 3 is looking to be a frightfully good time. Stay tuned for more details en route to its release.
