Mad Max

Avalanche Studios’ Mad Max isn’t quite like the movie Fury Road though it includes a number of its settings and some plot elements. Rather, the upcoming post-apocalyptic, open world action title will explore the psyche of Max and his journey to fight against madness while recovering his prized Charger. A new video from the game showcases the characters Max will meet. Some are less friendly than others.

Mad Max combines both vehicular combat with close quarters fighting as Max travels the wasteland and scavenges for supplies while upgrading his vehicle. You’ll come across different strongholds in the game occupied by armies of bloodthirsty bandits but some may offer more sanctuary than others. As it stands, the world looks to have a large enough scale with enough things to do.

Mad Max is out on September 1st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Stay tuned for more information in the weeks leading to its release.
