Man of Medan, Supermassive Games’ next big horror adventure title, will be bringing back the choice-driven thrills (and kills) that we all loved in Until Dawn, but it’ll also be throwing in some new features and elements to spice things up. The biggest of those additions is undoubtedly two very intriguing multiplayer modes. Recently, we got to look at a developer diary that detailed the first of those two modes – Shared Story mode – and now, the second one, called Movie Night mode, has also been detailed in another dev diary.
Movie Night mode is a local co-op experience for up two five players sitting in the same room. The game will switch perspectives between characters, with each character being assigned to a different player, which means all players will be passing the controller around. At the end of key sections, each player will also be given rewards based on performance, decisions, quick reactions, and more. Watch the video below for more details on the mode, and to learn about how the concept for it came about in the first place.
Man of Medan is out on August 30th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Those who pre-order the game will also get access to the Curator’s Cut. Read more on that through here.
