As we get closer to the March 5 launch for Marathon, Bungie has released a new cinematic trailer, this time focusing on the Destroyer shell that players can pick for their Runner’s archetype. Rather than showing off any gameplay, however, the trailer instead focuses on establishing how fearsome a Destroyer can be in combat, and how a Runner using the shell wouldn’t back down from a fight. Check it out below.

We do get to see the Destroyer make use of some of its equipment, however, including a visor mode that allows them to scan the environment for loot. While rushing into a fight, we also see the Runner create an energy-based shield to block an explosive attack, ready to counter with their pistol in their other hand.

The release date for Marathon, coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, was confirmed earlier this month. Along with this, Bungie has also revealed details about its Deluxe Edition and a Collector’s Edition, the latter of which is exclusive to the Bungie store and is priced at $229.99, getting you a Thief Runner Shell statue, a miniature WEAVE worm, postcards, and other physical items.

It will also include the same digital extras as the Deluxe Edition, which includes a voucher for the Premium Rewards Pass, 200 SILK Rewards Pass Tokens, two MIDNIGHT DECAY weapon skins (Misriah 2442 Pump Shotgun Style and Overrun AR Style), and four MIDNIGHT DECAY Shell Styles for the Vandal, Thief, Assassin, and Destroyer. The standard edition is priced at $39.99, while the Deluxe Edition will set you back by $59.99.

Sony is further celebrating Marathon‘s upcoming launch with a new Limited Edition DualSense controller themed around the game’s aesthetics. Much like the extraction shooter, the controller also features bold use of colors and iconography that blends old-school sci-fi with the genre’s more modern incarnation.

“We set out to create a design that paid homage to the bold graphic design, vibrant color and visual art direction of the game and its industrial design, architecture and environmental surfaces and equipment,” said Bungie’s principal communications manager Nikki Brown when the controller was unveiled. “The result is a design that reflects the world’s balance of form and function, where clean lines, purposeful markings, and vivid accents come together to feel both futuristic and believable.”

PC players looking forward to the extraction shooter will find the hardware requirements to be quite reasonable, with Bungie recommending an Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500 CPU, 16 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 (6 GB), an AMD Radeon 5700 XT (8 GB), or an Intel Arc A770 (16 GB with ReBAR enabled) GPU. However, Bungie is yet to confirm the storage space requirements for Marathon. It is worth noting that the studio’s previous title, Destiny 2, is known for being quite massive in terms of storage requirements.

For more on Marathon, check out the hilarious pre-order bug that somehow caused Steam to automatically download Destiny 2 instead. This bug, it is worth noting, has since been fixed.
