A new tweet on the official developer handle for Marathon has given us a peek behind the curtain of the game’s Server Slam, and it’s worth checking out. Bungie has been listening to its players as they tear through Tau Ceti IV, getting into all kinds of trouble, and it seems to have a clear plan in place for when they return.
Among the proposed changes is the ability to unbind keys on both consoles and PC, and additional queuing options, including one dedicated to duos, recommended to the developers. But there’s also a lot of chatter on crucial parts of the experience, such as PvP pacing and Runner density, UI refinements, modifications to med and ammo drops in-game, and changes to the movement and heat systems, all of which are bring shaped by player feedback. The team also continues looking into reports of performance issues on PCs and has expressed its commitment to addressing them.
The good part is that Bungie has kept its doors open for further feedback and player requests, with a Discord channel for UI suggestions, and a dedicated Help Forum for PC issues. You can check out the tweet in its entirety before. We’ll be seeing you in Tau Ceti IV later this week when Marathon drops on March 5th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
