Capcom turned quite a few heads by announcing Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, launching later this year for PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. In a new trailer, it shines the spotlight on the game that started it all – X-Men: Children of the Atom. Check it out below.

First launched in December 1994 for arcades, X-Men: Children of the Atom features classic heroes like Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, and Iceman alongside villains such as Spiral, Omega Red, and Sentinel. It introduced several mechanics that would become mainstays in future titles, including Super Jumps to mid-air combos.

In the compilation, players can either head to the Training Room and refine their combos or view development documents and listen to the original soundtrack in the museum.

X-Men: Children of the Atom is only one of seven titles in the collection, so stay tuned for future trailers outlining the rest. You can learn more about other new features here, like Custom Matches and rollback netcode.
