We’ve known about Square Enix’s Avengers titles for a long while now, but in spite of that, we’ve known very little about what it will be. That, it seems, will be changing soon. Square Enix recently confirmed that they’d be unveiling Marvel’s Avengers at their E3 show on June 10, while it also seems like the game’s going to have an E3 Coliseum panel dedicated to it as well.

That’s been confirmed by E3 Coliseum’s website itself- but what’s even more interesting is that the description of the panel teases some very interesting things about the game and what it’s going to be. “The is the defining Avengers gaming experience,” reads the blurb. “An epic action-adventure that combines cinematic storytelling with continuous single-player and co-operative gameplay.”

That bit in particular is interesting, because it suggests that single player and co-op will both be available as options, though the qualifier of “continuous” for single player gameplay is curious as well. The description confirms other information, too. Players will be able to assemble teams of up to four in total, while customization of characters to fit your playstyle will also be possible. “Combining powers” and “mastering extraordinary abilities” will also be part of the core gameplay as players fight to “defend and every-expanding world under constant threat”- which sounds like live service models to me.

We’ll have more clarity on what all this entails soon enough. Square Enix’s E3 show is scheduled for June 10, while the Avengers Coliseum panel will air the following day at 1:00 PM PT. Stay tune for all the updates.
