Marvel’s Avengers is now available to the world but its short period in early access has allowed the developers to collect some useful data. Over on Steam, the first patch for the game has become available and as Nixxes points out, it’s “primarily focused on stability”. Other issues are currently being worked but the developer wanted to push these out first.
It’s not a huge list for fixes but does address some major problems, like a driver problem with the Nvidia 10 Series causing crashes whenever hitting Alt-Tab or Alt-Enter. The “DEVICE_HUNG” crash seen in the sewers has also been fixed while “various other” improvements to stability have been implemented. Also, if you found yourself unable to shoot as Iron Man or throw rocks while playing the Hulk, that issue should also be fixed.
What’s interesting is that the game launched in early access without Steam Cloud support, restricting save data to a single PC. This patch has thankfully addressed the same, allowing players to synchronize saves across multiple systems. Stay tuned for more details on patches and updates to Marvel’s Avengers in the coming weeks. You can also read our official review here.
