Square Enix and Marvel are hoping to bring the popular superhero brand to video games in a big way with the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers. The game promises the ability to play as your favorite Avengers, with a story to keep you engaged for the single player. And of coure, like many multimedia franchises, there’s plenty of other tie-ins coming up as well, including a prose novel.
We already heard that the game will get a prequel comic book, which is to be expected from a game that’s an adaptation of comic book characters. But those who like to read will have even more prequel material with a prose novel written by Greg Keyes. The book will follow the Avengers as they battle an organization called Zodiac and helps to set up some background the game’s story.
Marvel’s Avengers will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia May 15th, 2020. The prequel novel, Marvel’s Avengers: The Extinction Key, will release a few months before on March 31st.
