Marvel’s Midnight Suns Has “More Branching Choices Than You Could Imagine”

The game also features roughly 65,000 lines of voiced dialogue and over two hours of cinematics, lead engineer Will Miller reveals.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be launching soon, bringing XCOM developer Firaxis’ expertise with turn-based tactics gameplay, blending it with RPG mechanics, and steeping it all in the Marvel universe. Clearly, it’s looking like it’s going to be one of the more unique Marvel titles in recent years, and ahead of its launch, its developers have shared a special message that talks about what the game will have in store for players.

Members of Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ development team at Firaxis talk about everything from its combat to its characters, while lead engineer Will Miller also reveals intriguing new details for the game’s narrative and its choice and consequence mechanics. As per Miller, the game features roughly 65,000 lines of voiced dialogue, over two hours of in-game cutscenes, and has “more branching choices than you could imagine.” Check out the video below for more details.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns launches on December 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It’s also in development for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
