Marvel’s Midnight Suns will release this holiday season, which means more hero spotlight trailers. The latest focuses on Illyana Rasputin aka Magik, sister of Colossus. Abducted by Mephisto at a young age, she eventually manifested her mutant power and became his apprentice.
Magik’s abilities involve teleportation and creating portals to send enemies through. She also channels her life force into a weapon called the Soulsword to attack enemies. If that weren’t enough, she can summon Darkchylde, who was Magik’s alter ego in the comics but is seemingly a separate entity here. How her abilities, cards and passives play out during combat remains to be seen so stay tuned for the next hero showcase trailer.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns launches on December 2nd for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, while the Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch versions arrive later. Firaxis says that the RPG is easily its biggest game yet, though its campaign is more linear than XCOM and won’t feature any branching paths or permadeath.
