Insomniac Games has announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has gone gold, approximately one month before release. While there will likely be a day-one patch, the open-world superhero title is on track.
A new video sees the game’s cast celebrating the news. Nadji Jeter, who plays Miles Morales, assures fans that it’s “not bronze, not silver” but gold before shouting it out to the world. Yuri Lowenthal, who voices Peter Parker, says it’s closer to getting into “your faces, brains and bodies”, while Mary Jane Watson’s voice actor Laura Bailey is stoked about the release. It ends with Tony Todd, the voice of Venom, proclaiming the game’s gold status.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches on October 20th, exclusively for PS5. It offers a world roughly twice the size of previous titles but with the same playtime. There are new areas like Queens and Brooklyn, new activities, new villains and new powers for players to mess around with. Check out the latest gameplay here and stay tuned for more details.
