Insomniac and Sony’s 2018 action-adventure title Marvel’s Spider-Man has been in the news a lot lately. Just yesterday, Sony announced that they had acquired Insomniac Games, officially adding the studio to its portfolio of first party titles, while also confirming that Spider-Man had sold in excess of 13.2 million units worldwide. Now, it seems there’s more to look forward to for fans of the game.

A listing for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition has popped up on Amazon UK’s website. It doesn’t mention a release date, nor does it mention a price, while details about the package on the page are also scant. This is, of course, something that Sony haven’t yet announced, but a GotY Edition for Spider-Man would make a lot of sense. Not only was it one of the best received and highest selling games of the year, this would also be a good opportunity for Sony to sell even more copies to kick up those global sales figure a bit more.

If this does get confirmed, it’s likely that all DLCs for the game will included in the package as well. The City That Never Sleeps was an expansion that was released as three episodic DLCs, and on the whole, it was a surprisingly solid package, so it would be a pretty great deal for the people who haven’t experienced it yet. You can read our review for the expansion through here.

Marvel’s Spider-Man is currently available exclusively on PS4.
