Same Alien Races
Andromeda is not the Milky Way. It is in fact a whole new galaxy very, very far away. Would it make sense to shift over all the same alien races we had in the original trilogy to Andromeda? No. That would be insane. This next game needs to make a fresh take on a whole new set of alien species and how they interact in this much different time and space. Of course, for us to relate, human beings in Andromeda would be perfectly acceptable.
