Mass Effect Andromeda CES 2017 Trailer Showcases New Gameplay

Class and skill selection finally revealed.

Following the announcement of its release date on March 21st for North America and March 23rd for Europe, new footage for Mass Effect: Andromeda premiered at Nvidia CES 2017.

Though less than three minutes long, the in-engine gameplay (which was stated to be representative of the actual experience) showcased the Pathfinder’s journey to a fiery planet, battling robotic enemies. Much like previous games, players can auto-level their squad-mates but we finally got a look at the freedom of character customization that was alluded to in December.

It seems that players can still choose from different “classes” and their accompanying skills, taking different nodes and allotting skill points as necessary. However, these classes are now available at all times rather than static from the game’s beginning till the end.

The environments as a whole look gorgeous as does the combat and movement. What are your thoughts on the new gameplay? Let us know in the comments.
