Mass Effect Andromeda

There are a ton of things we don’t know about Mass Effect Andromeda, Bioware’s next big iteration in the franchise, except that it’s likely skipping 2016 and releasing in Q1 2017. Despite rumours regarding the new protagonist, it seems images for the same were circulating as early as January 2015.

Industry insider Shinobi602 recently tweeted out images on ZBrushCentral for Andromeda’s protagonist, distinguished by the N7 logo on its chest. The renders were first showcased at ZBrush Summit 2015 and have been attributed to Bioware Montreal lead character artist Herbert Lowis. The images were uploaded by “Fo0D” who is apparently part of the development team and even wrote on one image: “And our Pathfinder character model at BioWare Montreal…for Mass Effect: Andromeda.”

Given that ZBrush is a community of artists, it’s possible that these images were created by someone else. Hence, take this all with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, this character model predates that shown in the initial reveal trailer at E3 2015 – and looks remarkably accurate.
