Mass Effect: Andromeda Multiplayer Receives S Tier Common Weapons

Want a higher damage Avenger? Of course you do!

Bioware’s multiplayer for Mass Effect: Andromeda has been the subject of controversy since release, believe it or not. If it’s not the poor netcode, teleporting Fiends, annoying Ascendants, strong Outlaws, ineffectiveness of powers or an imbalance in weapon design, then it’s the glitches and crashes.

Add one more annoyance to the list as Andromeda introduces S weapons. These are another tier on top of the regular weapons that have a new Titanium colour finish and higher damage. The problem? Well, they’re only for the Common weapons like the Avenger, Predator, Viper, Katana and Charger. These are earned once you max out the rank on a Common weapon you own.

The crux of the issue is that these S weapons are classified as Rare. Did you want an upgrade to your Hornet by any chance? Too bad because now you’re going to get ever-so slightly better versions of the Common weapons thanks to the game’s RNG. Fans on the Mass Effect Co-op Reddit are already reacting to this news and it’s not pretty.
