Mass Effect Andromeda Video Features Beginning 13 Minutes

Bioware isn’t quite done with the Mass Effect: Andromeda information for today. Along with the recently released gameplay series video which details exploration, we get a look at the first 13 minutes of the game courtesy of IGN. It should be noted that spoilers lie ahead so if you don’t want to know how the game starts, turn back now.

The footage showcases mostly in-game cutscenes as Scott Ryder awakens from cryo-sleep and proceeds to the bridge to meet the Pathfinder, his father Alec Ryder. We’re introduced to numerous characters including Cora Harper, one of your squadmates in the game.

The crew of the Ark Hyperion are en route to Habitat 7, their so-called “golden world” but complications arise. It’s up to the Pathfinder team to explore the world and determine whether it’s really home for the people on-board.
