Mass Effect Andromeda Video Showcases Weapon Types, Abilities and More

Along with awesome combat footage.

Bioware’s Mass Effect: Andromeda has received the first of many gameplay videos to come, covering the various weapons and abilities that players can equip.

Weapons are split into several categories (melee, shotguns, assault rifles, and so on) with different types. Earth-type weapons, for example, use bullets while some weapons rely on plasma and can overheat. The various abilities on hand allow players to use familiar Soldier abilities like grenades or biotic abilities like Annihilation Field and Biotic Charge.

What’s particular interesting are the kinds of “profiles” that can players can set. If you like a particular set of skills, then it’s possible to allocate that into a profile which can then be changed on the fly. This helps solve the problem of utilizing so many different abilities at once.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is out on March 21st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on the gameplay showcased? Let us know in the comments.
