Polygon recently posted an internal EA memo from Maxis general manager Lucy Bradshaw for the freshly released SimCity, server troubles, frustrations and problems with users having to wait in long queues to join games have been discussed.

She acknowledged that said server issues are affecting the North American released and added that “players across Europe and Asia are experiencing the same frustration.”

User review scores have been plummeting and professional reviewers are also criticizing the game’s multiple server issues. So the news that Maxis will “manage this as closely as possible” is just…odd.

Bradshaw revealed Maxis was working non-stop to fix the issues however, and reported that three more servers have been added with more arriving on the weekend.

“SimCity is an online game and critics and consumers have every right to expect a smooth experience from beginning to end. I and the Maxis team take full responsibility to deliver on our promise.”
