Mega Man 11 Developers Can’t Promise DLC

The comments almost sound like the game has not performed to expectations so far.

While there has been some speculation that Mega Man 11, the long awaited revival of the blue bomber, might be getting some DLC, it seems like that’s all that it is—speculation. Speaking to fan site Rockman Corner, Mega Man 11 Producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya said that while the company would love for more fans to be excited about the game, DLC for it is not something that they can promise at the current moment at all.

“Unfortunately, we can’t make any promises at this time. We’d love for even more players to give Mega Man 11 a try and get excited about the game,” he said.

The problem here is that the way this comment is worded makes me suspect that as of right now, DLC will not be viable for the title because it has not performed to Capcom’s expectations. The comment makes it sound like if more players were to “try Mega Man 11” and “get excited about it”, DLC might actually happen. Right now, on the other hand, it seems like that’s not the case.

If that is true, it’s a bit of a shame, because Mega Man 11 is a great revival of the franchise, and exactly what so many fans have been asking for for ages. If you haven’t yet picked up the game, then make sure to look into it. It’s out now for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
