Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes has received a new update, which is currently ready for players to download and allows them to transfer their save data to The Phantom Pain.

If you download and install the update, you’ll receive an option from the main menu for “save data upload” where your data will be stored online to access in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Along with allowing for certain Mother Base members to carry over, the save data will also allow you to access the Sneaking Suit, Gray Fox, Raiden and Solid Snake skins.

While it isn’t necessary for enjoying the eagerly awaited sequel, it is nice to see some continuity supported between both the releases. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is available on September 1st for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC. Will you be picking it up?
