A new revelation has arrived with concerns to the character Eli from Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. If you don’t know, Eli is a child soldier who bears a fairly strong resemblance to another MGS mainstay Liquid Snake. Of course, the amount of proof that available to ascertain the same has been lacking until now.
Checking IMDB’s casting list for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, you’ll be able to see that Eli is played by a British actor Piers Stubbs, whose past roles include The Last King, Murder in Mind and Little Einsteins. More importantly, since Liquid Snake was raised in the UK and has a British accent, this only lends further credence to Eli’s identity.
Of course, IMDB entries can’t substitute for official confirmation. But it’s as strong an indicator as any that we’ll be seeing Liquid Snake as a child sooner than later. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is set to release in late 2014 to 2015, with Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes releasing in March 2014 for Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and Xbox 360.
