Quiet’s Torture

When Quiet first joined the Diamond Dogs, she wasn’t exactly welcomed with open arms. Though Ocelot was fine with utilizing her skills and Venom Snake promised to look after her, she was still treated with a fair amount of disdain in the beginning. This only manifested later when it was revealed that the parasites which Skull Face had been using to cause epidemics in Mother Base were also located inside Quiet. It also didn’t help that an MRI discovered she was the same assassin sent to kill Big Boss in the beginning of the game. Miller and Ocelot thus took to torturing Quiet to find out more information, though the latter relented when it came to actually executing.

In terms of actual shock value, this scene is perhaps one of the tamer kinds in The Phantom Pain. Still, it’s not for the faint of heart. Quiet is electrocuted and even has hot steaming water poured over her bare skin, which is perhaps the second worst way for her to be burned given her unique condition.
