Those disappointed by the cardboard box gameplay of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain on the Japanese edition of this week’s Kojima Station can rest easy – the English edition of the broadcast confirmed that The Phantom Pain will have a 30 minute gameplay demo at E3 2014, one that apparently took 300 hours to create according to director Hideo Kojima.

The gameplay demo will be shown behind closed doors to the press but the rest of us will have a new 5 minute trailer to behold at the expo. The game will also be playable for attendees so expect many more details and impressions to arise from the demo. E3 2014 kicks off on June 9th and for Sony’s E3 media briefing at least, it’s confirmed that The Phantom Pain will be present.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is in development for the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3. Are you looking forward to it? Let us know in the comments.
