The launch of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is nearing and this means that new information and gameplay footage is being released to the public. Kinda Funny Games recently published an hour long video of The Phantom Pain showcasing several gameplay mechanics, new cutscenes [which does not spoil anything provided you have seen all the official trailers] along with motherbase management features.

The footage which you can watch below was captured using the PS4 build of the game and it goes without saying it looks gorgeous. The game footage has been captured at 1080p and 60fps, and despite Youtube’s compression, gameplay feels silky smooth. With most games struggling to run at 1080p/30fps in 2015, The Phantom Pain is a testament to the amount of optimization that the developers have put into the title.

Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain launches in about a week for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and on the PC via Steam. Which version are you planning to pick up? Sound off in the comments section below.
