Kojima Productions’ Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is going to look a lot sharper for those playing on PS4 Pro. Konami tweeted that the console-specific patch is now live and serves to offer an increased resolution along with a more solid frame rate. Which is funny since the base version ran at a pretty consistent 60FPS but maybe that’s for the higher resolution.
Details like the exact resolution for the PS4 Pro version haven’t been offered but Konami noted that those with 1080p screens would also see improvements. If you happen to own the Definitive Edition, then Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes also sees an improvement in performance.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is also available with Xbox Game Pass along with six other titles. That means anyone with a subscription to the service can play it for as long as they’d like…until it eventually leaves the library on January 31st 2018. Yes, really.
Even if you have a 1080p screen, you’ll enjoy the improved #MGSVTPP performance thanks to today’s patch.
