Not a Psycho Mantis trick, we swear.

Such is the scale and depth of Kojima Productions’ Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain that on top of secret scenes depending on the weather, your birthday and whether you’ve showered in missions or not, there are ghosts being spotted as well.

The below video (courtesy of xefenarchmagi on YouTube) shows said ghost just chilling underneath a streetlight. Yes, there are a million things it could actually be instead of a ghost but it’s just irrational to really be anything else. And if it is a ghost, why is it even in the game to begin with? Is it another clever nod to P.T. aka Silent Hills which Kojima was supposed to be a part of prior to its cancellation? Or just Kojima being Kojima?

Regardless, it’s still awesome how players continue to discover interesting little secrets within Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Could there yet be more to discover? Stay tuned in the coming weeks (months?) and we’ll let you know.
