Kojima Productions’ Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is nearly upon us after receiving tons of critical praise. Today, Konami released a new trailer to showcase some of that praise while promoting the upcoming open world action stealth title. Check it out below – it certainly doesn’t have anything spoiler-related.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain takes place several years after Ground Zeroes and will provide a full-scale Metal Gear Solid adventure since Peace Walker on the PS Vita. It will centre on Big Boss aka Venom Snake seeking out revenge against those who wronged him in the prologue. He’s sporting a new appearance with a horn on one side of his head and along with many new things – including a new Metal Gear – we’ll see his descent into villainy in The Phantom Pain.

Releasing on September 1st, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be out on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, PC and Xbox 360. Thoughts on the accolades trailer? Let us know in the comments.
