Preliminary details about graphical modes in Konami’s Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater have seemingly been revealed, courtesy of recent hands-on impressions of a demo. Based on screenshots, the demo ran on PS5 and, as VGC noted, allows for choosing between Quality and Performance modes.

The former offers 4K/30 frames per second while the latter runs at 1080p resolution (which can “dynamically scale higher”). It’s unknown whether these will be the final options available when the game launches, so keep that in mind.

Perhaps more intriguing is the question about which Metal Gear Solid titles the player enjoyed best. It was present in the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and unlocked certain functions (choosing Metal Gear Solid 1 grants better stamina, for example). There appear to be “consequences” in the remake as well, though the demo didn’t have these.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is without a release date, but an announcement is coming later this year. Developed on Unreal Engine 5, the remake will launch for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
