We were more than a little surprised when Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes director Hideo Kojima revealed the Xbox-exclusive mission for the upcoming cross-generational prologue to The Phantom Pain. You’ll be playing as Raiden and taking on body-snatchers at the Cuban base that serves as the setting for the main story mission.

But there’s more. According to Siliconera, this is made possible by Raiden going back in time. The reason why it’s Raiden specifically is because his cyborg vision allows him to easily identity the body snatchers and dispose of them. Did we mention that gameplay mainly centers on killing tons of enemies but some how balancing it in such a way as to not break cover? It’s been described as a “sneak around and kill specific targets mission.” So make of that what you will.

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is scheduled to release on March 18th 2014 in North America and March 20th 2014 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4.
