Metal Gear Solid 3

Konami has confirmed to VGC that Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 targets 1080p and 60 FPS on all platforms except Nintendo Switch. It follows reports from hands-on previews about Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 from the collection running in 720p resolution. Unfortunately, this means no 4K resolution option for Xbox Series X/S and PS5.

The publisher also confirmed that the Nintendo Switch version would target 1080p and 30 FPS when docked and 720p/30 FPS in handheld mode (check out gameplay for each title here). Various impressions revealed little change to the graphical quality; Konami confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 are ports from the HD Collection.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 launches on October 24th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. It was also confirmed recently for PS4, though a release date and price are still to be decided. Konami also noted that it would be a digital-only release, unlike other console versions.
