Atlus has already been on fire in 2024 so far with the likes of Persona 3 Reload, Unicorn Overlordand Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance all ranking as some of the year’s best releases, but the developer’s (potentially) biggest release of the year is still in the pipeline. Metaphor: ReFantazio has been building up its fair share of hype with plenty of showings in recent months, and Atlus has revealed another new story trailer for the fantasy RPG.

Metaphor: ReFantazio will put players in the shoes of a young man who embarks on a quest to save the kingdom of Euchronia by lifting a curse placed on its crown prince, who also happens to be his childhood friend. The key to doing that? Defeating the villainous Louis, all while the kingdom is plunged into chaos following the assassination of its king.

All of that and more is set up in the game’s newest trailer, which also offers new glimpses of the combat, several characters and locations, and more. Check it out below.

Metaphor: ReFantazio will launch for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC on October 11. Check out over 20 minutes of gameplay from its beginning through here. New details on the game’s world and companions will be shared in a stream tomorrow.
