A new trailer for Metro: Last Light has been revealed by 4A Games on the way to the game’s release in the coming weeks. It focuses on the protagonist Artyom and looks at the responsibilities he has when it comes to saving the world. It also showcases some of the mutated monsters that players will have to face, along with the human opponents opposing Artyom on his journey.

As the sequel to Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light takes place in post-apocalyptic Moscow and focuses on survivors living in the underground metro tunnels below the city.

Civil war breaks out over a doomsday device stored in a military vault and Artyom gets caught up in the fight to prevent another disaster. Previously published by THQ, the franchise has since been acquired by Deep Silver.

Metro: Last Light is currently slated to release on May 14th in North America and May 17th in Europe on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
