The word is survival.

Metro: Last Light might have hit a roadblock with the auction of THQ’s properties and subsequent closure of the publisher. But Deep Silver and Koch Media picked up the 4A Games developed first person shooter and now everything is back on track. The publisher today revealed a new trailer for the game, namely part one in a series of three survival guides.

This first one introduces the world of Last Light and the Spartan Order that the player serves under to protect the Metro. There are plenty of horrors to face, both underground and above it, with mutants, toxic environments and warring groups all out for blood. The guide is touted to help you survive the pitfalls of the world of tomorrow. It comes off as more of a warning for those who don’t know what to expect.

Metro: Last Light is scheduled to release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on May 14th 2013 in North America and May 17th 2013 for Europe.
