The end of the world just got better.

4A Games has released a new video for Metro Redux, an upcoming remastered collection of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, and unlike some developers with their HD update announcements, the studio has actually gone into detail about what’s different in the PS4 and Xbox One version. Check it out above and try not to be too amazed with what you see.

In retrospect, it’s quite startling to note what 4A Games is capable of on powerful consoles. On its own, the visual upgrade more than warrants a look at Metro Redux. However, 4A Games is also promising a 60 FPS frame rate on the Xbox One and PS4 along with new game modes, additional content, improved AI and much more.

Metro Redux releases on August 26th in North America and August 29th in Europe for the Xbox One and PS4. You can let us know your thoughts on the remastered version in the comments.
