Microsoft ‘confident’ that Xbox 360 can be No. 1 worldwide

Posted By | On 16th, Aug. 2011

Speaking prior to Microsoft’s Gamescom press conference, Microsoft Europe’s interactive entertainment business VP, Chris Lewis said that MS is still confident that their home console can be the top console not only in Europe, but worldwide, especially with the lineup they’ve got planned for Gamescom, and that Microsoft’ s “commitment to the core remains undeniable.”

“We’ve been very clear that our ambition is to be the number one console not only in Europe but worldwide, and looking at our line-up at GamesCom while knowing what’s still in the pipeline, I’m confident we have the games and experiences to drive us toward that goal.

“Consumers of all ages continue to be captivated and entertained by everything Xbox 360 and Kinect have to offer and our commitment to the core remains undeniable.”

The lineup does look good- Halo, Gears, Forza, and other pretty good titles look impressive.
