ANNOUNCEMENT: Codename Kingdoms

Why do people reveal teasers and don’t show anything for the next one year or so? Kingdoms is one such game which had a less than brief showing at last year’s presser. Under development at Crytek this is one of the games at E3 that will be huge. I have no idea why it has not been a subject of hype and marketing till now, but may be after E3, Kingdom will have more fans. I think the game will not be playable, although there should be a demo of some sorts.

RUMOR CONTROL: Xbox Live Diamond TV Service

With the rumoured Diamond TV Service, Microsoft will strategically place itself as a virtual cable operator. The rumour already has a name to this IPTV service: Orapa. In fact if sources are to be believed Microsoft is already under final agreements for this service and is almost good to go.

Probability of this happening: 99%

RUMOR CONTROL: Alan Wake 2

The sequel to the somewhat commercial failure, Alan Wake is expected to get a sequel this E3. Although if reports are to be believed the game may not get a proper sequel but will be getting downloadable episodes, something which the developers did with the first one. Personally I think this is a good move by Remedy and given the way how digital distribution has grown; the developers are playing a risk free strategy.

Probability of this happening: 65%
