Microsoft responds to Fez patch issues, supports Polytron

Posted By | On 21st, Jul. 2012

Microsoft has revealed that they support Polytron’s decision to release the old patch again which was pulled due to some issues. Recently, Fez developer Polytron, had mentioned that they couldn’t fix the issues affecting 1% of Fez players because they simply cannot afford Microsoft’s charges to patch the game and were going to release the old patch because it affected a small majority of players.

“Microsoft Studios chose to support this decision based on the belief that Polytron/Trapdoor were in the best position to determine what the acceptable quality level is for their game,” Microsoft statement read.

“While we do not disclose the cost of Title Updates, we did offer to work with Trapdoor to make sure that wasn’t a blocking issue.”
