Microsoft Says They’re Looking Into Xbox Series X Controller Disconnect Issues

Some issues with the new gamepad has plagued early adapters.

Xbox Series X

New hardware is always exciting, but as any early adapter tends to know, it always comes with some issues. Sony’s PS5, for instance, had a very annoying bug that basically blocked you from downloading any updates for you games. But Microsoft is having their fair share of problems, too, and one of them they’re aware of.

The Verge reached out to Microsoft about a problem people are having specifically with the Xbox Series X. It seems that a lot of people are having disconnect issues where their controller will either not connect, randomly disconnect or will connect but will not register button presses.

It’s not clear how widespread the issue is, and strangely it only seems to be happening to those with a Series X and not the Series S. Microsoft said in their statement they are aware of the issue and are actively working to fix it, so hopefully they can figure something out for those that are running into the problem.
